I. TUITION PACKAGES & PAYMENT OPTIONS

There’s a wide range of tuition packages and payment options to suit different ones. For the standard packages below, check out our Regular Fees, Longer-Term Specials or our popular Early Bird Tuition Fee Specials. If you have a special request outside of our standard packages, let us know.

Scheduling Priority
Every year, students typically vie for the same after-school hours in a teacher’s schedule. Due to limited spots in the schedule, it’s advisable to enrol earlier rather than later so that you get first dibs. Understandably, places for students are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis based on fees fully paid – with priority to students enrolled in the schedule for a longer period. Please enquire about available spots BEFORE making payment.

EARLY BIRD DEADLINES

Early Birds rock! These are students who confirm lessons early through full payment of tuition fees for each period. They make planning and administration easier, and are rewarded with discounts. To qualify, Early Bird Tuition Fees must be fully paid by the following early bird deadlines for each payment period:

REGULAR ENROLMENT.  Regular fees apply after each Early Bird deadline for the period.

LATE ENROLMENT.  If you’re late enrolling in a term and miss the start, those sessions will be made up so you can catch up.

Group sessions are available for Levels 0 to 3. Conducted in a group of three students of the same level, they offer a great and affordable start to the musical journey, and provide fun opportunities to learn with others!

B. One-on-One Lessons

One-on-one sessions are available for any level. Tailored to the individual, they focus on the uniqueness of each student and offer the benefits of personalised attention. Lessons can be arranged at your place or ours. With the exception of ad hoc (one-off) lessons which are available only at 60-minute time-blocks, these are the durations of each lesson in our standard programme: Beginner till Grade 3 – 30 minutes;  Grade 4 & 5 – 45 minutes  Grades 6 and up – 60 minutes.

Ad Hoc Lessons (any level). Sometimes, ad hoc lessons suit the student’s busy lifestyle better. In such cases, we are happy to arrange one-hour lessons on an ad hoc (per session) basis. Regular rate per hour: $62.90. Early Bird: $59.90 (to be paid at least 7 days before the lesson).

II. ENROLMENT FEE

There’s a one-time Enrolment Fee of $50 per student per course. Enrolment fees are not transferable from one student to another.

  • Discounts. There may be discounts on this during peak enrolment periods, so be sure to check Home for any. Students are rewarded for early enrolment as it is preferred over late ones. Administrative matters – like booking a spot in the schedule, assigning an appropriate tutor, preparing the learning material, and other behind-the-scenes matters – all take time. Early enrolment allows more time to do a better job for you in getting things organised as you begin your musical journey at Passion Music.
  • Waiver/Discount. There is a waiver if the same student enrols for additional courses at the same time. If enrolling at a later time, the one-time Enrolment Fee for additional courses is only $20 per course.
  • Family Members. Immediate family members (father, mother, daughter, son, sister and/or brother – not cousins, in-laws and others) of a current (not former) student also get to enjoy this rate of $20 per student per course.

*If you haven’t quite decided what music course/programme course to take, you can still enjoy the discount off the regular enrolment fee by enrolling first as a student by the deadline; the enrolment will be valid for 90 days, so you will basically have a quarter of a year to decide what course/programme you want to take. However, it’s best to decide early as there are Early Bird Specials on Tuition Fees as well (see above).

Exclusions

Travel. For those who prefer the convenience of lessons delivered to their home/office/church/group, house call charges are not included in the fees above. Time and travel costs are based on a minimum of $10 per visit but specially discounted for the various packages: 1-term package: $90 $69.90;  2-term package: $180 $129.90;  3-term package: $270; $189.90;  4-term package: $360 $249.90. This is to be paid together with the tuition fee package chosen.

Learning Material. The cost of books and other learning material is not included in the fees. You will be advised what the amount of this is usually before the first day of class. This is typically between $20 and $30 per course enrolled for. Should there be any other costs as things progress, you will be advised when the time comes. If a particular book is not in stock, it will need to be paid for upon order. Learning material will be passed to students only when – not before – it has been paid for.
