The trumpet has a welcomed place in all types of music and is just as at home in a classical orchestra as in a jazz band. Because it is stylistically flexible, it is often at the forefront of ensembles. You can be sure there’s a spot for it in bands, orchestra, jazz big bands and other ensembles, chamber music (brass quartets and quintets), show orchestras, pep bands, rock bands, Latin music ensembles, New Orleans brass bands, and many others.
