What It Takes
Interested in Being on a Team that Makes a Difference? If you love music and passionately believe it has made a difference in your life and that it can make a difference in the life of another, then you’ve probably got what it takes to be part of a tutor team that is building a reputation as one of the finest in Auckland! We’re looking for a combo of the following in any ratio, so go ahead and share with us what your slant is:
A. Spunk ‘n Such (aka Attitude)
Anyone can teach crotchets and Middle Cs, but not everyone has passion. Whether there’s one student or one hundred, you’re the type who’ll make impact, ignite the spark inside others, and raise up a generation of musos who have you to be grateful for. Folks would be applauding and thanking you when students go up on stage to perform or receive that award! And kids all over – little and not-so-little – could be looking up to you for the rest of their lives. Consider yourself shortlisted if you are the sort who loves spreading the flame of your passion for music, share your joy, and inspire others.
B. The Formal Stuff (aka Education/Training)
Formal training and music certificates will give you an edge because – and we all know it – today’s students ask a LOT of inquisitive questions and want REAL answers. Share with us what you have got and/or are working on. If there’s a diploma and degree to add to your accolades, then that could help accelerate your effectiveness and impact. So go ahead and blow your trumpet.
C. Nothing Like Hands-On (aka Experience)
An understanding of today’s students will be a real boon in this industry where one size does not fit all and where a size that once worked for a particular scenario might have to be tweaked at various points in a student’s musical journey. Hands-on knowledge and experience is really important. If you have it, you know why. But if you don’t, ask someone who does. And if they think you can do the work or will help you, then let’s talk!
